Up early. Banana from hotel for breakfast, added to yogurt, berries, granola, and peanut butter.
Pack,
walk to Subway for sandwich and salad, and check out. Head across
street to Amtrak station. Sacramento station is in the midst of an
overhaul and update. It should be quite impressive one day.
The train is cushy and comfortable, but the restrooms do leave something to be desired.
We enjoy the changing scenery as we head east over Donner's Pass into Reno. A stranded train up ahead halts our progress.
We finally make it to our destination city 2.5 hours late, grab luggage, and call for hotel pickup.
Hotel
has a workout room, so another run for me! 2 miles before a hip hitch
told me to shut it down. I also had access to a complete weight set!!!
Yay. So narrow press, bicep curl, lateral raises, and lat pull downs
(with 90 lbs on the cable), and the workout is complete. :)
Off to bed because our first flight leaves at 6 am.
